Procedure

1. Remove the stock handle

    A. Remove the silver top to the stock handle by prying with a standard screwdriver.

    B. Use a standard screwdriver to pop the plastic around the bottom of the brake boot off. You may need one to pinch the center together from each side to release the boot.

    C. Use a standard screwdriver to pry up the clip to release the plastic handle from the steel shaft and button.

    D. Pull the boot over the handle to expose the tie that keeps it in place.

    E. Cut the zip tie off and remove the plastic handle entirely. There is no other clip, remove by applying force.

2. Affix the Contour Lever

    A. Slide the handle into place on the brake lever. We recommend leaving ¼ inch of the release button exposed, but you can set it however you prefer.

    B. Use the included hex wrench to tighten all three set screws.

-Be sure that they are not  hitting gaps on the brake lever mechanism and interrupting lever movement. It may be easiest to leave them facing up since they will be covered.

-The setscrews have some nylon on them to keep them from coming loose, that means they will be pretty difficult to screw at times. Keep working through it until the set screws are tight against the brake lever.

    C. Use the supplied zip tie to attach the boot to the new handle and trim off the excess.

    D. Put the boot back into place and slide/roll the 3 rubber o-rings into the grooves to  hide the set screws.
