Turn Your Phone Into a Heads-Up Display
After plugging this device into the OBD II port in your vehicle's foot well, you pair the device with your phone just like any bluetooth device. From there you can use a variety of both free and inexpensive programs to;
  • Measure BHP and Torque!!
  • Scan and clear CELs
  • View Multiple Customizable gauges
  • Keep Data logs
  • Monitor MPG and Fuel Efficiency
  • View Engine Sensor Data
OBDII Connectivity
OBDII Connectivity allows the device to be powered through the OBD port. That also means that it automatically connects when the car turns on. Unlike some products this is not tied to a vehicle, so you can use the same device in almost any car built after 1996. Connecting to your Droid or BlackBerry mobile device is as simple as pairing your device with a new Bluetooth connection.

Have a look at some of the applications listed below and you'll find out just how many uses this device has. It will save you time and money by monitoring the health of your engine so you can approach service proactively instead of after the CEL comes on. By clearing your own codes you can also avoid a costly trip to the dealer after performing your own maintenance. Compare to the Scangauge II.
Unobtrusive
Select the available Right Angle Cable to get the device out of your foot well. The 2 foot cable end sticks only 1 inch into the foot well. Once installed you can put the 3.5 inch Bluetooth dongle easily and safely behind the kick panel.

Can't say enough nice things about this product and CravenSpeed. Helpful pre-sales, quick delivery times and great instructions. Installed and linked to my Android Phone in under 10 mins. Measuring 0-60mph times within the hour...

    2. Painless in MINO Roadster

Posted by Alan on 30th Sep 2012

I was worried about finding the OBD port in my 2012 MINI Roadster, but shouldn't have been. It is on the driver's side, right above and slightly behind the left foot rest, out in plain sight, not even behind a door. So finding the port was a snap, plugging in the connector easy, and pairing with my Android phone straightforward. Just getting to know the Torque app, but it looks very easy to use, lots of customization opportunities. An excellent experience.

    3. neat gaget

The price gives it 4 stars. It works well in my 2005 Focus ST. In my 2011 F-350 powerstroke, aparently the PID's are different and not supported... except RPM. I am a little disapointed in that. Over all it is pretty cool and seems pretty accurate. My Focus is rated at 151 hp. The unit says 129 hp. take into account 15% driveline loss and it is pretty close.

    4. Plug and Play

Buy this! If you have a Droid smartphone and aren't content to live with idiot lights, you need this.

Setup is sweatless once you download "Torque" program from Droid Marketplace (costs $5.00). Plug the OBDII into the car OBD port. Turn on Bluetooth and pair the devices using "1234" code. Run Torque. It's so intuitive you really don't need a manual, but there is a help screen on the Torque program if you have problems.

OBD codes are displayed; it gives you the option of looking up the code on the internet - although from what I've seen, the description is fairly self-explanatory (mine was an O2 sensor...)

Cravenspeed's service is excellent. You will love having this device!!!!
