Can I Take It Through a Car wash?

Sure, but at least make it touchless. If you are going to spare your car the holes drilled in the bumper, you are also going to want to spare your paint the scratches and swirls of an automatic carwash!

A License Plate Mount That Does Not Damage Your Car The Platypus utilizes the tow hook eye that is hidden on your bumper for mounting your license plate. We want to eliminate the need for you to ever drill into a brand new car or aero kit. A Tow Bolt mounted plate is also easily removable for track days and shows; it takes only 5 minutes to install the first time and after that the entire plate can usually just be rotated around for quick removal. That means if you ever need the tow hook in an emergency the Platypus will not be in your way.

Great plate mount.. was happy to see it came with real allen bolts and plastic nuts for plate mounting (not just the plastic lock tabs).. R55 Clubman fits perfect without looking like a sore thumb. Its strong and light.

I compared this to two other competitors products as well as read the reviews here. It is better and easier than you think. It is extremely light, finished well, and installed in about 5 minutes. Takes longer to read the directions than to install. Post is 19 mm so a 17 and 19 mm wrench helps and a pliers will help with the clips if you need it. Conventional hardware was also included so it showed that they do read reviews left prior. e46 M3 was where I used this. Looks great and no holes in the bumper! Did I mention that is was the lowest cost also? Well done, thank you.

When I was thinking about getting a Fiat Abarth, I checked the Craven web site to see if they had made anything for this hot rod. I was happy to see they did, ordered one before I purchased the car. I wasn't disappointed, have it mounted and it is perfect, as I know it would be. I am sure to get a lot of notices of this mount at car shows, I will pass the word along that Craven only makes the best. Can't wait to purchase more items that they make for the Abarth.

This is a great product as it works nicely in lieu of drilling out the front bumper on my 2013 JCW Clubman. The tow hook is still functional if one ever doesn't need a front plate in their state, and can be recovered with the original plate. However, I would recommend that Craven provide a few extra plastic snaps as they are easily lost or will probably eventually wear out.

The product seems to be of good quality. You should take the time to include step by step paper instructions. Plastic snaps were tough to get snapped. Had to bend the plate slightly to get it to fit the curve of the bumper without scratching the paint off. The product is of good quality, but it's too pricey. I'd probably purchase again.
Overall, it took about 25 minutes complete the install.

Overall a great product. Am concerned about the plastic snap conectors that hold the plate on. Will replace plate fasteners with stainless hex head and nylox. Main amounting bolt and backing plate top quality
Great Product!, but needs additional install parts option.

I love the Platypus product, however my install was a lot more than "5 minutes". I had to find a thick washer so the plate would clear the bumper, maybe because of the aero kit on the MINI JCW (?). If that's the case then there should be a JCW option available when ordering. Also, I couldn't use the license plate 'snap connectors' as they were not long enough to use with the MINI brand license plate frames. This should also be an option for purchasing at the order point, and noted to all who order the product for a MINI. These are just a couple of notes that will hopefully help others. Overall it's an excellent product and I'm very happy with the finished results. No drill holes in the bumper and the plate doesn't block my striping.
WOW, Didn't have to drill into my bumper and chip my paint!
