Avoid Tickets Without Drilling Your Bumper
The Platypus utilizes the existing tow eye in your bumper, so you do not have to drill any holes in your new car. This method of installing the front plate is common and legal in all states that require front license plates. At times when the plate is not needed, it can be removed easily, leaving no trace that it was ever there.
Fits Right and Will Not Alarm Your PDC Sensors
We have designed and tested hundreds of configurations on many current vehicle models and trim levels, this is not a one size fits all system. The model for your vehicle will sit tight to the bumper so that is looks like it was meant to be there, and it will also avoid setting off the sensors on your bumper (if you are having a sensor issue, troubleshoot it or contact us and we will resolve it!) Although it will sit close, the sturdy plate backing will not scratch your bumper no matter how you drive.
Tough Construction and Rigid Design, Made in the USA
The 12 gauge steel Plate Backing is full sized so that the edges of your license plate do not get bent in a car wash or otherwise. That plate has a black powdercoat baked on that will last forever. The Stud is lathe machined from 6061 aluminum and black anodized. We make them at the high end of the receivers tolerance so that the studs fits tight and stays put while you drive (this means that the stud will not go in without a wrench, like the stock tow hook does). The button head hardware is stainless steel, and uses an allen key to discourage theft. The hardware provided is the exact right length for your plate and will not stick through the back to scratch your bumper, if you would like to install a plate frame you will need a longer set of hardware for $1 here.
There's a Design for nearly every Infiniti Vehicle
We make a specific kit for almost every car Infiniti makes. If your car is on the list then you can be sure that we have worked with the local Infiniti dealerships to test the fit. If you don't see your specific model, let us know and we would be happy to see if we can find a solution for you. All of Infiniti's cars, to this point, have used the same thread size on the towing eye receiver. So typically the only questions in regard to fitment is plate location and length. These are things that can be easily determined with a few photos.

Perfect solution to mount a plate without damaging the car. Very easy to order and install, my car had a non-standard bumper depth and needed a longer stud. CravenSpeed sent one out immediately - great customer service! And the product is well built and looks great (if you have to have a front plate).

After a little human error mixup of sending me the wrong plate holder for my car, I received the replacement item in good shape. It is a quality license plate holder that attaches perfectly in the tow hook receiver and saved me from de-facing the car by drilling holes in the bumper. My wife (it's her car) thinks it sticks out from the bumper too much (about 1.5 inches), but I think it looks fine.

I just purchased a 2011 Infiniti M56x with the sports bumper and didn't want to drill holes into it. I found the Platypus license plate mount to be a great solution for me. The bolt that screws into the tow hook was the perfect length and clears the bumper by about 1.5 in, so it doesn't stick out to much like some of the other tow hook mounts that I have seen.
I was very impressed with the construction and quality of this piece. Highly recommend it for anyone that doesn't want to drill holes for a front plate and still wants to stay legal.

After purchasing my new QX60, I didn't hesitate to tell the dealer, not to drill in my bumper. I found the Platypus from Craven Speed online with a simple search. It arrived in a few days. The product is well made and installed in 10 minutes. It looks unique and is worth the money.
Very clever idea

After purchasing a regular license plate bracket and contemplating whether to drill holes in my bumper, I figured there had to be something out there to fit my need. The clever design of the Platypus solved my problem and was simple to install. Would recommend this product to anyone who doesn't want to decrease the value of their new/used car.

So Far, So good. Received this and installed super quickly. Haven't rec'd my new plates yet from the dealer, so I haven't had the chance to test the relocator with a plate attached, but so far it is well made looks good. Fit the car perfectly.
Looks Great, Quality Parts

When the Platypus plate mount arrived and I held the expertly machined parts, I couldn't wait to install it on my wife's 2009 Murano. Having never done this install before, I managed to get it in place in less than 10 minutes. It looks great, and I like how sturdy it is. CravenSpeed's website, videos, and a super-fast response to my email questions made me a very happy customer. I'll definitely peruse their site for more products in the future.
