Our approach to designing the best vehicle phone mounts is centered around 3 core principles. Firstly, we are very skeptical of most universal fitment mounts on the market. Things like suction cups, vent clips, or stick on mounts aren't designed specifically for your Cooper. They can fall off very easily and don't keep your device safe. Our preference is to design mounts with specific vehicle fitment. For the MINI Cooper, we utilize attachment points on the back of the gauge cluster. Our laser cut steel bracket mounts securely to the back of the cluster.

Magnetic vs MagSafe vs Scissor

This mount is available with three different styles of device attachment. The first two are magnet based. Our Magnet/MagSafe attachments are compatible with any device and offer the ultimate speed and convenience. Phones or cases equipped with MagSafe are directly compatible with the MagSafe attachment. All other devices require the use of an included adhesive backed metal plate. For phones with Qi functionality, the MagSafe version is the best choice. This version comes with a ring plate that will not interfere with the wireless charging feature. Any non-Magsafe or non-Qi device can use either version, though the standard Magnet base is recommended in this case.

We also offer a scissor grip attachment for those looking for an alternative to the magnetic attachments. With this version, CNC machined billet aluminum arms form a spring loaded gripper mechanism. The soft rubber pegs gently and securely grip your device to ensure that it does not fall out. The scissor mechanism can rotate 360 degrees so the phone can be held in either portrait or landscape mode.
