NOTE: These instructions apply to any vehicle with the slotted push button style arm seen below.

Procedure

Prepare Your Work Area and Vehicle

  1. Park your vehicle in a well lit area preferably out of direct sunlight.
  2. Lift both wiper arms up and away from the car and remove the wiper blades by depressing the push button on the wiper arm and sliding the blade off of the end of the arm.
    3. The factory wiper assembly of the Subaru Crosstrek.
  3. Open the wiper blade packging and remove the wiper prep cloth. Read the instructions on the cloth packaging and use the cloth as directed. This step ensures the best performance of the wiper blades.
    4. The PIAA wiper preparation pack.

Prepare the blades for install

  1. First we'll need to remove the clip that is already installed on the PIAA blade as it is not needed. To do so, simply pull up on the side of the clip with the PIAA logo. You may use a flat-blade screwdriver to assist, but it is not necessary.
  2. From the packaging locate the adapter labeled M
    3. The PIAA 'M' clip.
  3. Install the M clip onto the PIAA wiper blade using the opposite technique used to remove the original clip. Insert the opposite end into the blade and rock it into position. Press firmly and the clip will snap into place.

  4. From the packaging locate the adapter labeled F
    5. The PIAA 'F' adapter.
  5. Note that both clips have an arrow on top. With the arrows oriented in the same direction, press the F adapter onto the M adapter. For alignment, reference the letter M through the center of the F adapter.
    6. The PIAA wiper fully assembled and ready to install on the vehicle.

Install the PIAA Si-Tech Wiper Blades

  1. To install the blades simply slide them into the end of the wiper arm so that the button snaps into the hole in the end of the arm, just like the factory blades came out.
